Default Droknar Running Guide (Including Pictures)

Ok, first off let me tell you the build to do it.

Skills:
1: Charge
2: Sprint
3: Balanced Stance
4: Endure Pain
5: Healing Signet
6: Purge Conditions
7: Holy Veil
8: Mending

Attributes:
Healing Prayers: 8
Tactics: 13
Strength: 12

Armor:
Ascalon Helm
Gladiators for the rest
Try getting Superior Absorpsion and Vigor but major runes will do.

The way:

Lornar's Pass:

Dreadnought's Drift:

Snake's Dance:

Talus Chute:

Pictures of run and explanation:

Lornar's Pass

Make sure you get this shield (you can get it at the collector north from thirsty river for 5 bleached shells). And preferably a weapon with + health or + armor (so not like the one im using in the picture)
At the start get your mending up.

You've ran past the first group and evaded a few imps. You'll be at this spot. Around here the worm shouldn't trouble you yet. As soon as you get these imps (the ones circled) in vision start moving towards the avicara tunnel hugging the wall.

The worm will be annoying you by now but do NOT use balanced stance until an avicara hits your aggro circle. Before you run in use holy veil on yourself so that the avicara will not rip mending.

A little further is a group that would've killed me if i made time to take nice screenshot so there's no screenshot ^^.

Here you'll meet a few ice golems and pinesouls. You're weakened by the avicara and your balanced stance is running out. If your lucky you can get past them in an open space or there's a resting place to the right of them (wich is the lowest circled on the radar in next picture, but often the worm will still follow you there and makes it a useless spot to rest). But often you'll have a crappy spawn and will just have to work your way through with endure pain and holy veil against deep freeze.

This is the picture i was talking about. The circled spots are resting places.

You'll now see a field filled with grawl wich you will cross with ease. Up to next picture.

Another nice resting point.

The troll cave. Aggro all of the trolls and lure them back to the wider space so you can walk around them and sprint out with ease.

Here i forgot to take a screenshot again.
A worm will pop up. Do NOT use balanced stance until you have the group of grawl in you aggro circle. If your mending was taken out this is the time to get it back up if the grawl are no longer following you and you still have balanced stance on you.

Passed the group of grawl.

Now a bit further you will be bothered by about 3 worms. It's tempting but do NOT use balanced stance until you see the next group of grawl quite some further.

Passed the second group.

The worm will keep bothering you. But since this is an easy part, feel free to use balanced stance, healing signet or purge conditions to get your health back up. Run towards the curve using holy veil before you run into a group of ice golems and taking holy veil off when having deep freeze on you to get rid of it.

I had an easy spawn here but sometimes the 3 circled groups are one big group. That's a spawn where even the more experienced runners will have a problem with. Just practice the use of holy veil, purge conditions and speed boosts and you'll get past them.

Next is an easy part. You can just run through or (better plan when doing this first time, just take things slow) there's always a rest place to the far right or to the far left.

Good job! You've made it past the hardest parts of the run.

Dreadnought's Drift:

Get your mending up. Don't wait around too long because the group to the left is coming for you. Run past the group on the right.

A crappy spawn. Normally that group is far more to the left and you'll run past with two fingers in your nose. I ran through wich cost me 30dp. It's better to run back to the portal and rezone for a better spawn.

Use balanced stance to get past the giants, wait at the spot on the picture for balanced stance to recharge and run past the next group of giants towards the portal.

Snake dance:

Well done! You've passed all the hard parts of this run. The rest will be easy now.

Just follow the path shown at start of this guide. Use balanced stance well and you'll make it.

On the way some azure shadows will pop up. They use signet of judgment to knock you down so be prepared with your balanced stance.

Here's the turn towards Grenth's Footprint (the way to Deldrimor Warcamp). Do not take this turn and move on towards Camp Rankor.

The second troll cave. Normally there will be one or two ice golems with that group over there. If so, use holy veil on yourself, aggro the trolls, lure them backwards out of the cave, undo deep freeze, and walk past them.

Camp Rankor:

Ahh Camp Rankor. Nice pitstop to get rid of your dp (wich you shouldnt have! but i was being kind of ignorant back there)

Talus Chute:

Ok this is a walk in the park. Just follow the path shown at start of this guide.

This is a spot where it could get a little tight. But I'm sure you'll make it past this since you got past the whole rest of the run.

End in sight. Feels good the first time doesn't it?

Droknar's Forge:

GOOD JOB!! YOU MADE IT! Practice a few more times and you'll be able to get your money flowing in.

Some random tips:
-Take things slow. Rushing will kill you.
-Get to know the way mobs move around the map so you will not be surprised.
-Holy Veil: Use it before you run in a group that has ice golems or stone summit heretics in it. As soon as you get the hex on you that slows you down, click on the holy veil icon twice to undo it together with the hex.
-Balanced stance and sprint are both stances. You can only have one stance on you at a time. So use Charge to get past mobs when using balanced stance. Do NOT use sprint when your balanced stance is needed.

Enemies:

Ice Golems:
They use the spell deep freeze on you wich slows you down. Use holy veil before you run into a mob with these.

Pine Souls:
They aren't much of a problem. Though they place barbed traps wich leave you crippled and bleeding. Look where they place those traps and if you happen to run into one, make use of purge conditions.

Ice Imps:
Annoying little thingys. Evade them at all costs. If you run into them, don't panic. Count how many you aggroed. If there were 3 than wait til you've had 2 Mind Freezes on you and use holy veil for the 3rd and than charge away.

Avicara:
They rip your enchantments and deal some damage. Not much of a problem when they're the only group, but they are never the only group..

Grawl:
No problem at all, though the Grawl Crones use an area-of-effect skill to rip you enchantments so make sure you walk around those with a small circle. They do poison you. Make sure they don't block you in when your knocked down by a worm.

Frost Wurms:
In the beginning you'll find them the most annoying things throughout the run. After a while you'll get used to them. Just use your balanced stance well.

Stone Summit Heretic:
Uses crippling anguish on you wich slows you down. Always comes with a few more hex casters so make sure you use holy veil on time to take out crippling anguish or else you will take off the wrong hex and have to recast holy veil.

Stone Summit ....:
They just hit you and make you bleed. Just don't get stuck between them and you'll be fine.

Mountain Trolls:
No problem at all. Sprint past them. Most of the times when you meet them they'll be in tight caves. Lure them back to a wider space and sprint past them.

Tundra Giants:
They throw big rocks at you and use giant stomp. Use balanced stance to get past these with ease.

And that will be the end of this guide. I hope that it will help you a lot and make you rich some day. It was originally written for my guildies but after a while i thought I'd post it here too.

Good luck on your runs,
Doed

i suggest dropping mending for symbol of wrath
mending is not needed at all in a droks run its waste of stat points and wat do u do when u get stuck if all of a sudden it lags?

symbol of wrath is AoE making monsters flee giving u the chance to run free
just a tip for any1
14 str 13 tact 3 smiting ( leftovers )
factions +armor while in stance
+5 energy sword/axe giving u the same energy as glads and ascalon helm
but giving +40 armor while in stance which is pretty much al the time when running droks the +40 armor helps alot
just a thought good guide though

Actually, you don't really need any healing spells at all. All I use to heal myself is heal sig. These are the skills I use to run Droks.

13 Str
4 Prot
16 Tact

Charge
Sprint
Mend Ailment
Smite Hex
Endure Pain
Balance Stance
Heal Sigment
Holy Veil
